This fun-loving couple grew up 13 minutes and several farm fields apart in northwest Ohio. Brook and Adam met on Facebook as eighth-graders and began dating their freshman year in high school. Nine years later they tied the knot at St. John the Baptist Church in Maria Stein. A gorgeous celebration followed at the Buckeye Barn.
Brook's favorite wedding day memory was sitting in church, holding Adam's hand and gazing out into the crowd.
"Being surrounded by all your loved ones on such a special day and knowing they are all there just for the two of you, is really humbling," Brook said.
Adam surprised his bride on their special day with a pair of fancy sunglasses and a big bouquet of flowers, saying “I can’t wait to see you down the aisle!” Brook had a surprise up her sleeve, too. She gave Adam a fun pair of socks printed with their dog’s face! Brook, a talented videographer, also gave her groom a video she created with photos of the couple’s last nine years together.
For a bit of nostalgia, Brook took a birthstone ring and necklace Adam gave her years ago and placed them in her bridal bouquet. Adam’s reaction upon seeing it was priceless, she said. Brook’s advice to other couples planning their big day: Don’t worry if some of your details aren’t perfect. Just relax and take in each moment so you can remember how beautiful it all was!
Brook and Adam selected custom koozies from Totally Promotional to give guests as wedding favors. They liked the idea that family members and friends could use them at the celebration and reuse them later at home.
