RECOMMENDATIONS

  • Design your artwork in our Artwork Template gallery in the Product Details section for each item, or email [email protected] with the item number to request a specific template.
  • Have your fonts converted to Outlines in Adobe Illustrator or embedded in the image.
  • Minimum font size is 12 pts.
  • Minimum font size for reversed out text (light text on dark background) is 15 pts.
  • Minimum line thickness is 1 pt. (Can be checked in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign or other programs)

TIPS

  • Review our Low Contrast Color chart to see a complete list of product/imprint color combinations that are not recommended. The Low Contrast Color chart is highlighted and can be found in Step 3 (Choose An Imprint Color) in the ordering process.
  • Prints on napkins with coin edges will appear slightly off-center since they must be placed on the smooth portion of the napkin. If you prefer a more centered look, choose the diagonal imprint method.
  • Printing large blocks of ink with artwork reversed out will not work well on napkins.

PRINTING PROCESS

  • Napkins are imprinted via pad printing or screen printing.
    • Pad printing involves printing the image onto a metal plate where ink is applied. A rubber stamp then picks up the ink in the shape of the image and stamps it onto the napkins.
    • Screen printing burns the selected image into a screen that is then positioned on top of each napkin as the ink is pushed through. The ink is then transferred onto the napkins in the shape of the image.
