Vector Formats

Vector Formats

Vector artwork is preferred. It is composed of paths that ensure the image quality remains the same when enlarged. This makes vector graphics much more versatile and easy to use.

Raster Formats

Raster Formats

Raster artwork is made of small dots called pixels. When raster images are enlarged, pixels are more visible and the image is less crisp. The image can become jagged and rough.

Artwork FAQs

What is the difference between full-color and one-color imprinting?

Full-color imprinting adds vibrance and depth to more detailed designs. It is used when submitting designs with images or multiple colors.

One-color imprinting is best for simple designs and single-color artwork.

We also offer color matching on select products that are dye sublimated or digitally printed. We use Pantone Matching System colors. Please provide your PMS color if available.

What does DPI mean?

DPI or dots per inch is how raster files are measured. We require document resolution to be set at 150-300 dpi. A higher DPI results in a better quality image. It is also beneficial to create your artwork to the imprint area size to ensure there is no stretching of your design, minimizing the quality.

How do I find my imprint area?

The imprint area is located on the product page under “Description.”

How do I know my design will print well?

It’s important to think about how your design will transfer onto your desired product. Detailed designs are not recommended for small imprint areas. We suggest using contrasting colors for your imprint and product. Your Totally Promotional Account Representative can help you create the best design for your customized items.

Can I submit images from online?

Yes, you can submit image files to us from the Internet. Please keep in mind those images typically have a low resolution of 72 DPI and are not ideal for printing. Also, these images are often copyrighted and cannot be used without permission. However, we can use them for ideas to create a customized design for you.
